Not your average science classroomMore than 100 middle schoolers gathered at MIT to compete in the annual Northeast Regional Middle School Science Bowl. The event brought together 24 teams from 11 middle schools in Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire.

Pop-up pop quiz bowlTeams from 23 schools gathered at MIT on Nov. 16 to compete in the first-ever MIT Science Bowl Invitational — an informal, fast-paced quiz-style event for high school students.

Check out our 2025 High School Invitational highlights! With a peak of 130 stream viewers and 150 in-person spectators, the final match of the 2025 High School Invitational culminated in an intense, nail-biting set of rounds that stayed competitive until the final question.
