"As a seven-year alumna of middle and high school Science Bowl, I can vouch for the amazing impact that this program had as the launchpad for my passion in science: as a direct result of participating in Science Bowl, I decided to pursue chemistry as a career. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been inspired by my teammates and competitors at a young age, and this is the reason why I hope to pay it forward by helping to organize the Northeast event for younger peers. About Us

MIT Science Bowl is a student-run organization that began by hosting the Northeast Regional Middle School Science Bowl in 2016. Held on the MIT campus, teams from middle schools competed for a spot at the national tournament held in Washington D.C. In 2019, we hosted our first High School Invitational with twelve competing teams. Tournament questions are written by our student volunteers, and we have modified the Energy section found in official tournament question sets to focus on current research conducted at MIT.
