If you have graduated high school and are a Science Bowl alumnus attending or have graduated from college, you can still be involved in MIT Science Bowl!

College Tournaments

MIT Science Bowl is excited to be hosting the second-ever MIT Science Bowl College+ Invitational, welcoming all college students and graduates to relive the adrenaline-inducing Science Bowl experience! The College+ Invitational will be held virtually on August 22, 2026, tentatively from 12PM-6:30PM EDT. You are welcome to form your own team of 4-5 when signing up, or join as a free agent. Sign up here by Wednesday, August 19 by midnight EDT.

Question Writing

All questions for the MIT Science Bowl High School Invitational are written by volunteer question writers, most of whom are Science Bowl alumni. The writing cycle for each year's invitational starts around May. All college students and beyond are eligible to apply to be a question writer, regardless of affiliation with MIT! More details to follow.

Volunteering

Many Science Bowl alumni stay involved in Science Bowl through volunteering at local regional and invitational events. Check out the Volunteer section for opportunities to come and support our next events! MIT Science Bowl volunteers will receive complimentary breakfast, lunch, and snacks alongside an MIT Science Bowl t-shirt.
